[ Verse I：第一偈頌 ]
Bahum sahassam-abhinimmita sayudham tam
Girimekhalam uditaghora sasenamaram
Danadidhammavidhina jitava munindo
Tam tejasa bhavatu te jayamangalani.
Creating a thousand arms with weapons,
Mara, the terrible one, was seated on the ferocious elephant Girimekhala.
Him and his army, did the Lord of Sages subdue by means of generosity.
Through that glorious power may you have the blessings of success.
魔王千手執利器，乘象率兵來侵害；世尊布施力降魔，祈願一切皆成就。
[ Verse II：第二偈頌 ]
Maratirekam-abhiyujjhita sabbarattim
Ghorampanalavakamakkha-m-athaddhayakkham
Khantisudantavidhina jitava munindo
Tam tejasa bhavatu te jayamangalani.
More violent than Mara was the demon Alavaka,
who battled with the Buddha throughout the night.
Him, did the Lord of Sages subdue by His patience and self-control.
Through that glorious power may you have the blessings of success.
阿拉哇卡強魔王，微恆欲把菩提滅；世尊忍耐力降魔，祈願一切皆圓滿。
[ Verse III：第三偈頌 ]
Nalagirim gajavaram atimattabhutam
Davaggicakkam-asaniva, sudarunam tam
Mettambusekavidhina jitava munindo
Tam tejasa bhavatu te jayamangalani.
Nalagiri, the intoxicated king elephant,
was raging like a forest fire and was terrible as a thunderbolt.
Sprinkling the waters of loving-kindness, this beast did the Lord of Sages subdue.
Through that glorious power may you have the blessings of success.
那拉吉利醉象王，猶如野火及暴雷；世尊慈霖降狂象，祈願一切皆圓成。
[ Verse IV：第四偈頌 ]
Ukkhittakhaggam-atihatthasudarunam tam
Dhavam tiyojanapathan'gulimalavantam
Iddhibhi sankhatamano jitava munindo
Tam tejasa bhavatu te jayamangalani.
With a sword that was lifted high in his outstretched hand, for a distance of
three leagues did wicked Angulimala, the one with a finger necklace, run.
Him, did the Lord of Sages subdue by His psychic powers.
Through that glorious power may you have the blessings of success.
鴦歌魔羅殺人王，手持利劍追殺佛；世尊神通力降魔，祈願一切皆成就。
[ Verse V：第五偈頌 ]
Katvana kattham-udaram iva gabbhiniya
Cincaya dutthavacanam janakayamajjhe
Santena somavidhina jitava munindo
Tam tejasa bhavatu te jayamangalani.
Her belly bound with faggots, like one who is pregnant,
Cinca, with harsh words made foul accusation in the midst of people.
Her did the Lord of Sages subdue by His gentleness and peacefulness.
Through that glorious power may you have the blessings of success.
金嬋木盆扮孕婦，眾中怒言誣告佛；世尊安忍力降魔，祈願一切皆成就。
[ Verse V I：第六偈頌 ]
Saccam vihaya matisaccakavadaketum
Vadabhiropitamanam atiandhabhutam
Pannapadipajalito jitava munindo
Tam tejasa bhavatu te jayamangalani.
Giving up truth, that arrogant Saccaka hankered after arguments like a banner,
with his mind fixed on arguments fully blinded to truth.
Shining the lamp of true wisdom, him, did the Lord of Sages subdue.
Through that glorious power may you have the blessings of success.
天子傲慢懷邪見，狂言奪理心暗瞑；世尊智慧力降魔，祈願一切皆成就。
[ Verse VII：第七偈頌 ]
Nandopanandabhujagam vibudham mahiddhim
puttena therabhujagena damapayanto
iddh'upadesavidhina jitava munindo
Tam tejasa bhavatu te jayamangalani.
Taming the wise and powerful dragon Nandopananda,
by way of his disciple son Thera Moggallana, mighty in supernatural attainments,
thus did the Lord of Sages subdue him by instructing his son to use psychic power,
Through that glorious power may you have the blessings of success.
難陀聰慧威力強，世尊委交目犍連；尊者神變力降伏，祈願一切皆成就。
[ Verse VIII：第八偈頌 ]
Duggahaditthibhujagena sudatthahattham
Brahmam viduddhijuti middhibakabhidhanam
Nanagadena vidhina jitava munindo
Tam tejasa bhavatu te jayamangalani.
With his hand badly bitten by the snake of naga, namely wrong views,
the brahma god Baka of clear sheen and psychic power,
Him did the Lord of Sages cure with His medicine of Wisdom.
Through that glorious power may you have the blessings of success.
婆羅門種名巴卡，異說邪法遭苦厄；世尊智慧解其苦，祈願一切皆成就。
[ Verse IX：第九偈頌 ]
Etapi buddhajayamangala atthagatha
Yo vacako dinadine sarate matandi
Hitvana neka vividhani c'upaddavani
Mokkham sukham adigameyya naro sapanno.
And these eight Buddha stanzas of glorious triumphs of the Buddha,
He who recites daily and remembers with diligence;
Having overcome many and diverse obstacles,
that wise man will soon attain the bliss of freedom and happiness.
若人持此勝利偈，頌念銘記不忘失；世尊佛陀殊勝力，究竟離苦得大樂。
《吉祥勝利偈》
魔王千手執利器，乘象率兵來侵害；世尊布施力降魔，祈願一切速成就。
阿拉哇卡強魔王，微恆欲把菩提滅；世尊忍耐力降魔，祈願一切皆圓滿。
那拉吉利醉象王，猶如野火及暴雷；世尊慈霖降狂象，祈願一切皆圓成。
鴦歌魔羅殺人王，手持利劍追殺佛；世尊神通力降魔，祈願一切皆成就。
